Welcome to the RemoteFieldView Wiki. Here you will find everything you need to know about RemoteFieldView. From how to get access to the Web Application, to navigating the application, and even more complex settings such as automatic alerts.

RemoteFieldView is a powerful Fleet Management application that allows users to track their vehicles in real-time and monitor arrival and departures for specific locations. Automatic alerts help users spend less time in our application and allow the application to alert users of specific events.

  • Service Order Integration
    • Send Service Orders to Technician Vehicle GPS.
      • This sends geo coordinates and virtual geo fences to allow notification of arrival at jobsite
      • Geo fences timestamp arrival and departure at jobsite without Technician updates. This is sent GE/S2KVision/Wintac and can be reviewed by management
    • Review Service Order History per Vehicle in RFV
      • Review daily routes and make informed decisions on Service Order assignments
      • Easily view the current service order a technician is located at in one page.
      • Review workflow timestamps in RFV and GE to review employee timesheets.
    • Reporting and accountability
      • Review GPS arrival/departure timestamps vs. RFS timestamps to make sure calls are being timestamped properly. (Geo Fence Automatic Arrival and Departure must be used)
      • Set up automatic alerts so Dispatch/Managers can receive Alerts of Arrival/Departures at assigned Service Orders.
  • Mapview Integration
    • Review Service Order locations per Vehicle/Tech/Group in an interactive map
    • View latest location of Vehicle and view the proximity of service orders that have been assigned or currently unassigned.
    • Send Service Orders to Vehicles directly from GE/S2KVision/Wintac Mapview.
    • Knowing vehicle location in comparison to SO’s allows you to make changes to schedules or technician assignments
